Opportunity Snapshot:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of technologies including high performance system software that specializes in optimized software for IO. In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in cross-functional teamwork and exposure to all facets of the software development cycle from innovation, marketing requirement to product delivery.

Responsibilities:
This candidate will be responsible for being conversant with the tools, paradigms and API’s needed for developing high performance system software for Windows platforms. Influence the design of interfaces between products to ensure interoperability. Develop large portions of software independently and rapidly.

The group is working on a highly differentiated IO device which is an integral part of the Cisco server offerings. The device provides best in class performance along with unmatched virtualization capabilities. The initial requirements are:

Required Skills:
1.Minimum 3 plus years experience developing system software for various Windows platforms
2.Experience with HP Virtual Connect or Dell Flexaddress a plus.
3. Familiar with Windows driver model, low level C, C++ and assembly programming
3.General operating systems software expertise
4.Experience with hardware platforms (x86) is a strong requirement
5.Familiarity with Storport drivers is a bonus
6.Familiarity with NDIS 5.0, 6.0, 6.2 desired
7.Use of debuggers, ICE, VTune etc is desired.
8.Familiarity with Ethernet networking and Fibre channel is a bonus.
9.BSCS/BSCE degree is required; MS CS/CE is preferred
