Sr. Video Backend Software Engineer

We have a current opening for a Sr. Video Backend Software Engineer to work in our TelePresence Systems Business Unit which is part of Cisco''s Emerging Technology Group.

TelePresence is a virtual presence experience that uses advanced visual, audio, and interactive technologies to create an in person experience at a virtual conference table. TelePresence is one of the more recent examples of how Cisco is changing the way we work, live, play, and learn.

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Design and develop video backend software components in TelePresence products.
This includes but not limited to:
-Video Backend Library that provides hardware abstraction layer to Applications.
-1080P/720P Plasma/LCD display control.
-Interfaces to data collaboration devices such as Laptops, Document Cameras, Projectors, Data Displays and Digital Whiteboards.
-Device drivers, control functions and state machines for HDMI, DVI VGA, I2C and GSPI interfaces.
-Lead role in defining and developing video backend features for next generation Telepresence products.
-Assist in test plan development, regression test, equipment and software setup, logging of test activities and documentation of test results.

REQUIREMENTS
-Minimum of 10 years experience developing system software with emphasis on platform and lower layer.
-Device Driver Development experience using C/C++ is required.
-Experience with video devices highly desirable.
-Hands on experience developing embedded software using Linux as a target OS.
-Must be self-motivated, diligent and attentive to detail.
-Typically requires BSEE/CS or equivalent with 12+ years relevant experience in internetworking technologies and applications.
